Simply Lovely

Ack!  I love this one!  Christa from Modern Vintage Interiors found this dining room table on Craigslist and gave it a facelift and then some.  She went with a black and cream look, which complements the great lines of the table and chairs so nicely.  And she paid extra attention to those sad smooshed seats, re-fluff-ifying them up and recovering them in a classic damask.  Check out the details HERE.  Thanks Christa!

Little John’s Nursery

Jen from lil Mop Top transformed this hodgepodge guest room into a lovely nursery for her new arrival, baby John.  First step was to remove that ridiculously high chair rail, or whatever you call a chair rail that is six feet away from the floor.  The new wainscoting really makes the room seem so much cozier, I would have felt like I was sleeping in an aquarium with that weirdo chair rail in the old room.
Also, I love the new drapes, they add a great sophisticated touch.  Thanks for sharing Jen!  More to see on her blog HERE.

TIME for a change

Kristen found this charmingly retro clock and thought it could use a little sprucing up.  First she spray painted it white, de-corded it and replaced it’s innards with a battery powered mechanism.  Then she topped it all off with a bit of scrapbooking paper for a punch of color.
I think it looks super cute, although I have to admit I liked the old clock face too!  But that’s just because I have a big crush on old clock faces.  In fact, if you asked me to make a list of things I have a crush on, it would look like this:  #1 Shaun White, #2 Channing Tatum, #3 Old Clock Faces.  It’s true.

Sarah’s House

I’ve said it before and I’ll most likely say it again … because seriously, I post a lot. I’m going to run out of things to say eventually and so I’ll either babble incessantly or just keep saying “From Drab to Fab!”  over and over.  But let’s hope it never comes to that.  And now I’m babbling again…
Anyhoo, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: outdoor redos are some of my favorites!  I just love seeing an old home get a fresh dose of curb appeal.
This lovely home comes from Better After reader Sarah.  She really made her home shine, it looks so great.  What a difference just removing that old screen door and painting the door made, in addition to everything else, from new windows, to shutters, to landscaping.  Love this!  Thanks Sarah!
