Spot On

Another gorgeous chair redo, cominatcha! Danielle from Danielle’s Spot redid this chair, though I can’t imagine why. I mean that fabric totally reminds me of Christmas. Christmas in a communist Russian orphanage.
The after is simply dreamy, and I don’t know if you can tell, but she spray painted the arms and legs purple! How divinely funky. Check out her blog HERE for a full tutorial!

Spectacular Wall Art

Here’s another cool idea for an old window frame. If you’re a bit of a weirdo like me, you don’t want to hang an empty window frame on your wall. It’s semi depressing, like gazing into nothing. Or into a blank wall.
Tiffany from Mine Are Spectacular felt the same and instead used an inspiring poster (inspiring as in: I want to go there someday, not like, a picture of fish swimming upstream captioned DETERMINATION, or something). Great idea, thanks Tiffany!

Red Door Redo

Most children’s bedroom redos consist of growing the space up, but in Stacy’s case, this room was just too old-fashioned for her daughter.  Out went the matchymatchy Laura Ashley bedding with coordinating artwork, furniture and curtains, and in came the funkier, fresher take on a little girl’s bedroom.
Check out her excellent blog Red Door Home for more pics and details, and a closer look at that chandelier that might just take your breath away!

Tabletop

Nora knew this old blue table had potential written all over it.  What she didn’t know was that potential was actually to make her a crazy person.  But she prevailed. And after hours and hours of sanding and scraping and stripping and scraping and poking it with sharp metal objects, she finally revealed the true beauty of her table, and hopefully is not traumatized of furniture refinishing forever! It was worth it, thanks Nora!

Becky’s Kitchen

This is how Becky managed to redo her kitchen with a $700 budget:  lots of sweat, lots of salvaging, and a few freebies!  I think it turned out amazing, and I love the farmhouse feel of it.
The biggest and best change was removing those low hanging cabinets and the wall thing they were attached to.  Funny how removing storage made it instantly looks twice as big. I also love how she decided to chop up tiles from the countertop to make the backsplash.  Lots more details to see on her blog Tea Party.  Thanks Becky!

Sexy Hexy

Well, I got my computer screen looking normal again.  Just some high-falutin’ tech-wizardry that I computed myself.  (Restart button).
So anyway, speaking of raiding my grandma’s basement…I’m pretty sure I could find something similar to this footstool lurking down there.  Love the retro legs and the interesting hexagon shape, but the fabric was long overdue for some updating.
Elissa from Ebb and Flow recovered it and made it current, while still keeping in line with its mod vibe.  Thanks for sharing Elissa!
