Is your day off to a great start, or did you wake up feeling a little worn out? Are you well rested or just rusted? Do you look like a million bucks, or like you couldn’t fetch five bucks at a yard sale? Am I projecting a description of this decrepit bar cart onto you? Maybe.
I hope you’re feeling at least a few steps ahead of this battle-scarred bar cart, but even if you’re not, there’s hope yet!
Just look what a little TLC can do.
After paying $2 for this cart at a yard sale, Stacey dragged it home and attacked it with her drill and wire brush attachment to remove all the rust. I’m surprised she had anything left to work with, but sure enough, there really was a bar cart under there. She painted it gold and turquoise and dolled it up with a hand-painted herringbone design on the shelves.
You should do the same thing if you’re also a bit burnt out. Not the wire brush part, ouch. But a little spit n’ polish might get you feeling brand new too. Or a massage and a manicure. Y’know, something like that. You deserve it.

December 5, 2016 at 1:46 PMI totally agree about the powered wire brush. I got mine caught up in my trouser leg, still running. Jammed right into my leg and kept spinning. I do so hate power tools!
This make over is incredible though, so maybe I’ll hang on to them. After all, they come with a husband. š

December 5, 2016 at 3:38 PMThis is so cute! I would never give something like that a second glance at a yard sale but its amazing how beautiful it can turn out. I seriously need to stop being so lame.
