Hey there! I hope you enjoyed your 4th of July! Ours was full of family, food, and fireworks: the three basics of a successful 4th. Actually, that is probably all you really need to be successful at life in general. Someone call Dr. Phil and tell him he’s fired. I’ve got it all figured out.
Kristine at The Painted Hive added some firepower to this basic storage unit. Just wait till you see it…
I’ll wait while you oooh and ahhhh!
Ok, catch your breath, because there’s more where that came from. Check out what she did with this set of nondescript dressers:
Jaw officially dropped. Boom! Grand finale!
Picture me hanging out of my parked car, shouting “Woooooo!” while flashing the lights and honking the horn.
(This is how everyone universally celebrates a grand finale, yes?)

July 6, 2015 at 8:13 PMI hit your site everyday and it is always fun to find the original “before” piece in the “after”, but for the life of me, I cannot find the original piece in either one of these afters! What the………?

July 7, 2015 at 1:38 PMDo you ever feel like an old cabinet?
Drifting through the hall, wanting to start again?
Do you ever feel, feel so paper thin
Like a laminate, one blow from caving in?
Do you ever feel already headed to the dump?
Screams but no one seems to hear a thing
Do you know that there’s still a chance for you
‘Cause there’s a spark in you?
You just gotta ignite the light and let it shine
Just own the night like the 4th of July
‘Cause, cabinet, you’re a firework
Come on, show ’em what you’re worth
Make ’em go, “Aah, aah, aah”
As you shoot across the sky-y-y
Cabbie, you’re a firework
Come on, let your colours burst
Make ’em go, “Aah, aah, aah”
You’re gonna leave ’em all in awe, awe, awe
You don’t have to feel like a wasted space
You’re original, cannot be replaced
If you only knew what the future holds
After a hurricane comes a rainbow
Maybe a reason why all the doors are closed
So you could open one that leads you to the perfect road
Like a lightning bolt, your heart will glow
And when it’s time you’ll know
You just gotta ignite the light and let it shine
Just own the night like the 4th of July
‘Cause, cabinet, you’re a firework
Come on, show ’em what you’re worth
Make ’em go, “Aah, aah, aah”
As you shoot across the sky-y-y
Cabbie, you’re a firework
Come on, let your colours burst
Make ’em go, “Aah, aah, aah”
You’re gonna leave ’em all in awe, awe, awe
Boom, boom, boom
Even brighter in that room, room, room
