Some Kitchens Get All The Breaks

Hey there, happy Monday! I hope you have a great week ahead.  I woke up today with Rod Stewart’s song “Some Guys Have All The Luck” running through my head on repeat, so I hope that’s not some sort of sign about my upcoming week. Great, now it’s stuck in your head too.  Sorry.

Anyway, just like some guys, some kitchens have all the luck, and then there’s this kitchen. Lindsey didn’t love one thing about it. She had a teensy budget to work with, but (luckily) she had plenty of courage to jump in and transform it on her own. She did almost all the work herself to create this fabulous kitchen transformation for less than $500!

See all the details on her blog This Delightful Life.

Big news: This is your LAST CHANCE to get yourself the Ultimate DIY Bundle.  They are opening up the offer one last time for a flash sale that ends SOON.  Don’t wait!

Here’s everything you get, PLUS over $150 in bonuses! It’s worth it for the bonuses alone. One of them is your choice of a craft course from Craftsy, which is valued at over $70.

I’m currently enrolled in one of their photography courses “The Essentials of Light,” which I’m really excited about.  I need all the help I can get in that area.

“This is amazing and such a good value! The bonus craftsy class I ordered paid for my bundle technically so everything is a bonus for me. I am really impressed. I have purchased the bundles before and I really enjoy all of them. This is my favorite and I have just scratched the surface. Thank you so much for the inspiration. I always find so many bloggers and sites through these bundles that I have not found on my own. Life changing stuff!”

I really wish that orange colored wood would have never come into “style.” I love wood, I love orange, but the two together really is just horrible!
I love how, in the after, the bar stools match the appliances!

It’s so true! Who decided cabinets had to look like cheetos? That shade of orange is just not found in nature.

I get how everyone is craving the white kitchen, but for me it’s almost too white. I like more color! That said, if you can get the kitchen you love for $500, good on you!!! Nice job. What I love the most is the new backsplash and the addition of a table for a kitchen island, since the counterspace is seriously short. Also agree with what Havok said: the stools tie in wonderfully with the appliances.

I think the white really makes the backsplash pop. What beautiful coloring on the tiles. I think this new kitchen look is very chic and I wish I could do this to mine!! What an amazing transformation. The hydrangeas looks lovely next to all the white – what a perfect reason to buy yourself new flowers every week! 🙂

You know I love that new kitchen! White cabinets and a beautiful back splash make for my dream kitchen.

I do have to disagree with you regarding that orange color not found in nature. My cat would blend in nicely with those cabinets and the wood floor. So yes, that color IS found in nature. 🙂

Lindsey, can you delete my last comment? I was trying to post a pic of my orange cat.

I am thinking that if you carried the backsplash up around the window and up to the ceiling (or painted it to match, if it is too much $ to run the tile), it would add extra style and extra color. Also would make the sign above the window “pop.”
