Black Out To Blend In

Oh, awkward TV, what are we going to do with you? There’s just no hiding that big black eye smack-dab in the middle of the wall.  We could stuff you in an armoire … but that negates the point of having a flat-screen.  Hmmm. We could stop watching TV altogether … but how would we know what Gwen Stefani wore on The Voice?  No no, there has to be a better way.

I know! We could paint the entire wall black! You would totally blend in! We could add some shelves on either side, and some cool lights above; the whole thing would look awesome.  I think we can even get the thermostat in on this blending-in thing. Let’s do it.

Looks fabulous and very sophisticated. It must have been expensive, however, since apparently you had to purchase a larger flat screen television! ;-P

    Seriously beautiful update. Well done.

I wouldn’t think a black wall would look nice, but goodness this is classy! In a…Portland sort of way, actually – Oregon Portland, anyway! Just “off” enough that it works well!!

Wonder if you could spray paint your thermostat? Also maybe you could move the lower shelves down to add more décor space. Super awesome looking though!!

This totally works. I didn’t know what to think when I read there was a black wall involved today. But I love it! When I was looking at what else in the room changed, I thought the green cabinet was a new addition. I didn’t even notice it in the first scene. But It totally pops against that black wall. Well done!

Very Clever! My next door neighbor painted her dining room black. She said that she could now die happy, for having fulfilled this dream! 🙂

Impressive. The only thing wrong is she forgot to paint the white cord from the TV black. I paint my cords wall color so they disappear.
