Here come two makeovers that don’t really have anything in common, but they kind of do. For one thing, to quote successful rapper and surprisingly hilarious SNL host Drake, they both started from the bottom, now they here. Sorry to get all gansta on you, but it’s true. They both looked like the type of thing you’d find on the curb after an unsuccessful yardsale.
Britt started off with this cart she bought for $5 at a thrift store, and admits that her family was actually a little scared of it. I’m sure they’ve changed their tune, because after a few coats of spray paint and some adhesive houndstooth contact paper, it’s looking totally snazzalicious.
Beck also went with a classic black and white pattern on what used to be some kind of torture device/time-out chair situation. It was giving me the sads. But not anymore! A little damask print and a cheery red paint job on the frame, and it looks brand new. How cute is that chalkboard too?

What do you think Drake? You are probably inspired to write your next big rap hit about furniture transformation, huh? You can totally use the word ‘snazzilicious’ if you want.

April 24, 2014 at 7:39 AMMy sister used to have that high chair! Lol It was actually a low chair I guess? I just remember my nephews could climb in and out on their own, which I guess was the benefit of it?

April 24, 2014 at 12:09 PMThanks again for the feature Lindsey!! Love as always!!!
That chair was totally awesome. What I didn’t know until someone else pointed it out is the base flipped over and the chalkboard actually became the top of a little desk….and the little chair part just slide right under. So it was a “booster chair/desk-chair combo.” Very cool!

Couldn’t find the link to her blog…but I’ll bet dollars to doughnuts they’re Tide fans! So cute! I’m inspired 🙂 Tailgating must be fun at their house.

April 25, 2014 at 5:21 PMSuper cute! I bought a little brass table with glass top at the thrift store….while at the store I was like, “I am totally going to spray paint this ugly brass….maybe robin’s egg blue, or light green, or a yellow!” I even went to home depot and bought spray paint! (all 3 colors because I’m incapable of making decisions)….and I still haven’t painted it. Now that it’s here, I can’t decide if I like the brass or not….. if i spray painted a leg to see how it looked, how much of a pain would it be to take it back off if i hated it?

April 25, 2014 at 5:37 PMOooh, tough to say with spray paint. It’s not easy to remove since it is oil-based. If you wanted something temporary, just to see how it looks, I would try craft paint. That would scrape off rather easily. Good luck!
