Confession: I’m rocking out to One Direction right now. As much as one can possibly ‘rock out’ to One Direction that is. So basically, I’m slightly bobbing my head while sitting at my computer. But I won’t say I’m not enjoying it. I’m very hard core, try to keep up. Speaking of enjoying things, I laughed so hard at THIS, I legitimately cried.
Speaking of enjoying things (again), you will surely enjoy this master bathroom makeover from Elisa at Emodel Your Home. Before: a cramped hallway that ended with a toilet exclamation mark. Hello toilet!
Now it is a gloriously spacious with a shower/tub situation that I don’t quite understand but covet anyway. Double showerheads are my jam all day err day. Beautiful!

February 12, 2014 at 2:29 PMWho needs to understand it when it’s that beautiful? Love!

February 12, 2014 at 2:41 PMI like it. It’s unconventional, and seems really practical. My hubby likes to take baths, but I don’t, and I wouldn’t have to sacrifice my shower space for his tub. And vice versa, of course.

February 12, 2014 at 2:57 PMOhhhh emmmmm geeeee! That was the funniest thing I’ve seen in a long time! The One Direction video, of course not the bathroom (although the shower and tub combo is definitely not for everyone). I’m not a One Direction fan and have only heard a handful of their songs but so love a good laugh. I was actually laughing so hard my co-workers thought something was wrong with me … “Carol, are you okay?”. Good stuff!

February 12, 2014 at 5:04 PMHaha, it really had me in tears. And then I had that ‘version’ in my head for the next three days.

February 12, 2014 at 4:26 PMTub in the shower less water in the walking area that’s cool! Do you have to sweep lots of water away from the tub area? Would you do it again is it functioning well? Do tell, inquiring minds wanna know!

February 12, 2014 at 6:41 PMOh my goodness, THANK YOU Lindsey!!! 🙂 I’m so lucky to have this on your website!!
Hi Lesley,
I do squeegee the excess water off the raised platform, just to ensure it stays cleaner. We have extremely calcium rich water and if we don’t, it leaves really bad marks that I have to clean with an S.O.S pad or at least multiple dryer sheets and my thumb nail (gross!).
Hi Holly,
That is the exact reason the tub is in the shower! I didn’t want to sacrifice the room for a tub, but still wanted a large shower. It was my only solution. It’s also steam room and the Hub-e he loves to soak in the tub while I sit on my little stool and steam! 🙂
Thanks all for the kind words!

February 12, 2014 at 8:35 PMGirl…I know I don’t know you like that, but I’m really feeling this….the shower in the same space as the tub is awesome. She called it a wet room. I love it and my husband would love it even more.

February 12, 2014 at 9:29 PMHa-HA! The chorus is the BEST!
Love this bathroom idea for a cramped space. You wouldn’t wanna walk over a tub to get to the shower, but putting the shower first was a crazy cool idea! TFS

February 12, 2014 at 10:25 PMTotally loving the shower/tub combo – at this point in my life I have a very active toddler who takes splashy baths. It would be so nice to let her splash away without worry! And to be able to take a bath myself with the water actually high enough to cover me, and no stress if it spills over. Genius, really.

February 13, 2014 at 1:37 PMMakes perfect sense to me – after a bath, I take a quick shower to rinse. This would make it super-duper easy to do just that!
This will soooo be in the works for my next bathroom redo. Love it so hard!

February 14, 2014 at 9:08 AMChantell – LOL! yes, you & your husband would love this room!!
Thanks so much Holly!!
Mindy – we have a little one and she LOVE to splash all over the place and we could care less because of this!
Ashley – I absolute feel the same way, I would hate to take a bath because I wanted to shower afterward and if your tub isn’t built into the shower, you had to get out run over to the shower and hop in. This is way you don’t have to worry about running, you just hop out and the shower is right there waiting for you! 🙂 It’s also nice to cool off after a steam.
