Scared by chairs? Don’t be. They can be some of the simplest and most rewarding makeovers of all.
See this chair from Jen at Girl in the Garage? Two steps, people: #1 Paint. #2 Recover seat. DONE.
(Minus all the mini in-between steps like “clean chair,” “unscrew seat,” “evacuate spiders” and all that.
And this one …OK, maybe not so simple with its tufted cushion with piping and wacky armrests, but Beck figured it all out, right down to the fabric she chose. Living in Razorback country, she knew red and white would sell fast! See more on her blog Beckwith’s Treasures.

November 13, 2013 at 12:56 PMI RARELY comment here but Beckwiths Treasures did an AMAZING job on that seat!! Not only did she use piping but she lined up the chevron!! I’m a stickler for the details being done correctly. I love that everyone is into the DIY and the repurpose, but truly appreciate the time it took her to do it correctly! Fantastic job!!!

November 13, 2013 at 7:06 PMLooking at the first chair I thought it would turn out okay, but WOW what a difference! It looked so chunky in the before, the after is just perfect.

November 13, 2013 at 8:52 PMLindsey…thanks SOOOO much for the feature. You were a great inspiration for me as a new “blogger” and I check in every day! I have a garage full of “stuff” waiting on inspiration and I can always find it here!
Jennifer…thanks for the compliment….you are so kind! Sewing is something I do a lot, but like the VERY least. Probably because I am a tad OCD and these tiny details drive me nuts! But they can make a huge difference!
