I think it’s great that grain sacks and galvanized metal and burlap are all big in the world of decor right now. I bet our pioneer ancestors would get a real kick out of that. Maybe someday our great-great grandchildren will be decorating their homes with our old plastic grocery sacks and tupperwares. But probably not. But you never know.
Hey, speaking of vintage decor, my fabulous sis-in-law Kalli is throwing another one of her Vintage Market sales this weekend. Check her out at DecorDeals on instagram if you are interested and local. They really are unbelievable. I will be there, come say hi!
And now please enjoy this lovely grain-sack-striped vintage-ified dresser from Debbie at Painted Therapy.

September 19, 2013 at 9:33 AMHA HA! I think the same thing about our ancestors! My Mom (who is 89) is cracked up by the stuff that is ‘in style’ now. She says that she couldn’t wait to get rid of that old stuff and now we go ga-ga over it!! The dresser is great but I just don’t understand putting in in the grass for a photo… Love your blog and have gotten many good ideas from it!

November 21, 2013 at 10:38 AMAudrey, I wish I had space AND good light in my house to take photos, but alas, I do not. So I use the best natural light I can, and that’s outside. The next house we buy, I’m going to preserve a little nook where I can stage my photos. So jealous of the people who can do that.
