Announcement: If you are viewing Better After on an iPad, things are probably looking a little weird right now. I’m trying out a new format that is supposed to make tablet reading easier for you! It’s a different look, but pretty simple to figure out once you play around for a minute. The major difference is that instead of scrolling and scrolling down the post with your finger to read more, now you only have to do a simple swipe, like turning a page. If you have any suggestions for tweaking things, I’d love to hear it.
If you are not reading this on an iPad, well disregard that whole message. I wish I had another announcement to share with you about making your life easier. Let’s just look at this entryway makeover from Cami at Tidbits. It probably won’t make your life any easier, but I bet it will make your eyes happy!

September 6, 2013 at 12:33 AMWhoever told you that was good for iPads was a lying liar. Please go back! It was super simple and easy before. Now- not so much… In fact, I had to go to the desktop version to post this!

September 6, 2013 at 12:39 PMSorry, the ipad format is horrible. First you get the text (no pretty header from your blog etc) Then you swipe for the pics, which you need to “click” or touch on to open them up. And W A I T till they upload. No spot for comments… I went to the desktop, fired up the BIG computer to comment. Please return to the old format or I’ll be missing posts regularly. I LOVE your blog and check it daily 🙂

September 6, 2013 at 3:04 PMYou haven’t seen the tablet version now have you? Or else you would know instantly that it’s really horrible. The worst part is the pictures that appear as a weird long rectangle thumbnail that you need to click on each one to see fully, and you can’t read the text at the same time, then you need to close to open the next one, can’t even swipe through pictures like a lightbox. And then you can’t comment, and it completely lacks personallity. The first time I encountered it I could not understand how to read it, at least you explained it here, but for those that would miss the explanation it might take a while to get the horizontal scrolling. I do not understand why this format was invented, please go back or else I’m gone. You’re the first blogger I see actively changing, so I’m taking the time to plead to you to change it back ASAP. Thanks 🙂

September 6, 2013 at 5:21 PMThanks for your feedback Jen. I’m working with them now to change up the way images are viewed, I agree the thumbnails are horrible. I’ll see if I can get the kinks worked out, and if not, it won’t be permanent. Thanks for hanging in there with me!

September 6, 2013 at 6:24 PMHi, Lindsey,
I LOVE the blog, but hate, hate, HATE the new iPad version!! It is very cumbersome to use, the thumbnail photos are horrible, and the comments do not exist. In fact, I had to go to my desktop to leave this comment. PLEASE return to the older version!! I would hate to stop reading the blog, but would have to do so if the new version continues. Thanks!!

September 7, 2013 at 12:23 AMThank you, thank you, thank you for going back to the old way! I had to send you two emails (sorry) cause there was no way to leave a comment. Anyway, this works SO MUCH BETTER than the new, not improved , format. As I sais in my email, when its easier to read on my phone you know something is wrong with the iPad format.
Thanks for letting me vent lol!

September 7, 2013 at 3:12 AMDid not like how it all worked on my android tablet. Couldn’t see the pics on the same page… had to keep “flipping” back and forth. I like seeing your “before and afters” together.
