When the good folks at HomeRight gave me the opportunity to review a HomeRight Steam Machine, I was eager to put it to the test. You see, I already had a steam machine. Mine was small and basic, and came with a lot of attachments, although they were pretty useless. My (least) favorite was this one shaped like a giant wedge of cheese. What on earth am I supposed to clean with that?
So, I was excited to try something new, and boy howdy, I wasn’t disappointed. I could immediately tell a difference. My old steamer was a humble store-bought little thing, but the Steam Machine is seriously heavy-duty, like something professionals would use for commercial cleaning jobs.
The steam is so much more powerful, the power cord and hose are extra long, the
attachments are top-notch in quality, and the water holding tank is
huge, which means I don’t run out of steam. Ha! Literally.
The Steam Machine comes with all the attachments you see here. My most-used so far are the floor cleaning attachment and the wire-brush, which worked wonders on my tile. Here’s a little before and after for you:
I didn’t even know my grout was that color to begin with, wow. Also, ew.
There is even a wallpaper removal attachment, which I thought I’d never use, but just the other day a friend asked for suggestions on how to best remove old wallpaper adhesive. So I told her to give my Steam Machine a try and she reports it worked like a charm.

First there was wallpaer adhesive, then there wasn’t…and then I painted white all over it. In love with how clean that room looks now. 🙂

Unfortunately, no one ever told him that there is such thing as too much of a good thing… he really went crazy with the stuff. I’ve spend the 6 months that we’ve lived here scraping it out of crevices and replacing it with the correct (aka: normal) amount. This little steamer looks like it would be the perfect thing to remove the dirty residue the caulking has left behind on our tile and linoleum surfaces. Thanks for the give away!
