Meg was planning to put her baby girl in this room, but not planning on serenading her to sleep every night with “Welcome to the Jungle.” Though the mural had served her family well for many years, a fresh look was in order for her daughter, so out went the foliage and in came board and batten and a fresh coat of aqua. How it makes rooms seem so much bigger, I’ll never know. Beautiful!

March 27, 2013 at 7:46 PMWell, horizontal lines (like the rail between the paint and the board and batten) do tend to make spaces look larger, but the main reason this room looks larger is that the second picture is taken from further away, so more of the room appears in the picture.
That being said, I love the makeover! It’s so bright and cheery!

March 30, 2013 at 5:30 PMThanks so much for featuring the bedroom! I LOVE it and hopefully, when my daughter can talk, she’ll tell me how much she loves it, too. 🙂 I love this site and have so much fun browsing it everyday! Happy Easter!
