If you are the kind of person who ignores what I write up here and scrolls down to look at the pictures first, well, welcome back. I assume you’ve already looked at the pictures and returned up here to see what I had to say about this table makeover which is obviously NOT even the same table. Maybe you don’t even read this at all, and you are the person who is going to leave the comment that will say “Ummm, that first one is NOT even the same table.” Siiiiiiiiiiiiigh.
It actually is the same table! JoAnn liked her sturdy table well enough, but really wasn’t digging the rolled edge and fancy legs. So her husband just trimmed off the tabletop edge with his circular saw and built new legs out of 4x4s. A little paint and stain, and she has a brand new look on the same ol’ table. Check it out on her blog DIY Maven.
And here’s another farmhouse remix from one of my faves: Jesse at Nine Red. He is always coming up with something new and creative, and has such a knack for color. You may even notice his hutch makeover in the background. I love how he got down to the original wood finish and let it peek through the triangles. Triangles are totally the hip new shape now now, did you hear? It’s true. Someday it will be your turn, parallelogram. Someday.

February 15, 2013 at 5:51 PMFirst time commenting. I always read what you write before scrolling down to the pix – – I’m a big believer in delayed gratification! Also, you are freaking funny.

February 15, 2013 at 5:59 PMLOL you really do know your readers – for some reason today I did read before scrolling down. Both tables are AMAZING!! Wish I had even 1/4 of either’s creativity!!

February 15, 2013 at 10:34 PMI always read what you write first as you are very entertaining. This is my first time seeing a triangle table and have to say I’m loving the look.

February 15, 2013 at 4:00 PMLove both remakes! What makes me happy on an only slightly pathetic level is that this is NOT the first time I’m seeing the Totally Terrific Triangle Table! For once I’m not two steps (or two years) behind in the blogosphere! Yay!
Normally I love curvy wood but I do love the cleaner lines on the first redo!

February 15, 2013 at 7:21 PMHow funny – this is a project of which I am currently in the middle. The first pic is almost identical to what I have now, but I am going to white and keeping my curvy edges and fancy legs (on the table – not on me – LOL) Love these – they both turned out fabulous and look great in their spaces. Thanks for the motivation to finish!

February 15, 2013 at 8:44 PMThese are both great makeovers, but oh how I wish I was friends with JoAnn, maybe she would throw those fancy legs my way 🙂

November 16, 2016 at 3:41 PMI am 50/50 on the scroll through without reading and reading first. Right now it is because I am going through all these old posts to try and catch up on your history as a new reader. When it is just one day at a time I’ll probably read first and then check out the pics.
