If your narrow, dark, closed-in staircase is so depressing you’ve just started pretending you don’t have a second floor, take heart. There’s hope yet. Look at how great Maggie’s staircase looks after knocking open the wall and adding a banister. Like, super great. And her painted stairs (which are awaiting carpet) not only top off the look, but are making me crave s’mores. Yums.

September 11, 2012 at 5:58 PMWho knew just removing a few feet of wall would make such a difference? But I bet that was not a fun project to do.

September 12, 2012 at 2:50 PMThanks so much, everyone! I’m so glad you all like it. From far away I guess that s’mores look on the stairs looks OK, but they were super-scuzzy close up. If I can snap a good photo of the stairs with the runner on them today I’ll post them at Crunchy Diva. PS: I am hugging Lindsey right now. thanks so much for sharing my work!
