Hello there! Did you have a great weekend? Did you win the PrintRunner giveaway? (If your name is Allie S. you did!) Did you want me to post a different giveaway later today? I certainly hope so, because I kind of accidentally scheduled one. Whoopsie! I didn’t realize that the date I had agreed on weeks and weeks ago with this sponsor happened to be a Monday, which kind of throws off my whole posting mojo, and puts two giveaways back-to-back. But I think it’s a great prize, so I hope you will enjoy it. Stay tuned for that later today.
But anyway, down to business. Sally’s kitchen here needed an update, that’s for sure. White paint on the cabinets, new hardware and backsplash, and butcher-block counters were enough to do the trick, but was there any money left in her budget to do something about that old linoleum? Yes! Because all she needed was two gallons of paint and a stencil! SO charming.
See the whole tutorial on her blog A Warm Conversation.

June 11, 2012 at 3:53 PMThank you! Thank you! Thank you!
I so want new flooring, but my husband is so so sick and I just couldn’t come up with the money. This will be a way to update without a lot. I have thought of doing it before, but didn’t know if it could be done. Love it and it is gorgeous! Great color, great design.

June 11, 2012 at 4:58 PMThat’s pretty incredible. I’m assuming there’s some kind of clear coat over the top of the paint so it won’t scuff off?

June 11, 2012 at 4:17 PMThis is one of the best DIY kitchen makeovers on a budget-but doesn’t look like it! The whole room transformed with paint, wow! Refreshing to see that Carla respected the family budget, and can look forward to banking her savings since her kitchen really looks great.
