If you’ve been wanting to hop on the Chevron-Trend Train, but feel like it might be pulling into Overdone Station, or that it’s not quiiiiiiiite your style, fear not. Jennifer from The Owen Family has incorporated a little chev-to-the-ron in her makeover here, and managed to make it look both rustic and timeless.
Not only that, but she totally chunked up that wimpy frame for a substantial piece of art. I love this idea. She just found a bigger frame, inserted a piece of plywood she had painted to match, then glued the horse print right on top. I’m putting this in my “I want to make this” file!

June 12, 2012 at 11:25 PMThat is beautiful! It looks like a great piece of art now rather than just some picture tacked up to the wall. Nicely done!

June 12, 2012 at 11:33 PMok, so when i looked at the before photo, i totally HATED the art and was wondering why anyone would put that in their house, but when she added the bulky chevron frame around it, it made it absolutly stunning!!! I love it and would totally buy this!! haha, so weird how you can add something like that to completely change something!! -wonderful job!!
