There are a few people who understandably get upset when they see overwrought mid-century modern furniture makeovers. Few styles of furniture have such ardent fans. Probably because its easily the best thing we’ve been offered in design trends of the recent past. No one will ever passionately defend the microfiber La-Z-Boy or anything. However, I believe MCM can be improved upon without losing its original charm and streamlinededness. That was totally a made up word. Congratulations if you were able to read it on the first try. Anyway, here to prove my point is Karen from A Year of Strategic Serendipity, with her MCM makeovers that are brighter and better than before, without surrendering a drop of mod!
