Shannon’s dining room was great … if you were inviting the grim reaper over for dinner. Oh, I kid, I kid, it wasn’t that bad! Just a little dark. The wall color and brown furnishings weren’t helping. But now? Holy wow! Isn’t it absolutely lovely? So light and breezy and happy! I think I like the new curtains best of all, the color looks great against the blue, and plus the old ones were reminding me a bit of my middle school nickname, ‘Highwater Girl.’ (You want to talk bad, THAT was bad.)
Check out all of the details and how this whole makeover cost only $131 on Shannon’s Blog Burlap and Lace. Thanks Shannon!

February 8, 2012 at 3:49 AMDid you wear your pants too short so they wouldn’t get wet in highwater?

February 8, 2012 at 12:01 PMLaughing WITH you! Oh, middle school was the pits (I know, I didn’t wear a bra one day and someone figured it out… nough said). This b&a is a great example of how lengthening your curtains makes the window look so much better!

February 9, 2012 at 12:32 AMThis is amazing! Sure there are new “things” in the room, but what a difference lightening it up with paint does! Amen! Oh..and this proves, once again, that good style does not have to be expensive. My business is mostly Redesign and the budgets are very small. Sometimes the lack of $$ makes for more creativity.
