Kata from the Hungarian blog Little House supplies us with more proof that Europeans are just plain cooler than us Americans. I have never found anything quite as unique as this Thonet sofa in all my years of thrifting! Le sigh.
It was in sorry shape, but Kata fixed the frame, added extra padding, and did it up in style with bold red stripes. I wonder why it only has one arm? Must be an ultra-cool Euro thing.

November 11, 2011 at 6:51 AMIt’ a simple as that: the sofa had no arm on the right, and it would cost a fortune, to make one.
