Oh Hunter Green, I’m sorry. I’m sorry for your long hard fall from grace. For so long you were everyone’s faaaavorite color. You infiltrated every home, you were prominent in every decor scheme, I even dreamed of someday owning a Ford Explorer in, you guessed it, Hunter Green. (Dream big, kids). But your glory days have come and gone and you’ve been replaced by aquas and yellows, corals and grays, or, in this case milky blues and white. Even you have to admit, it looks way better, right?

October 12, 2011 at 9:42 PMNice redo. Just to console Hunter Green, someday it will be back, all the banished colors eventually return. Whoever thought some of the earthy colors from the 70’s would return? For example, Harvest Gold, all of a sudden I’m liking it.

October 13, 2011 at 4:11 PM@Jil, you are so right, I’m sure it will be back! I hope not for a long time though!
@Mary, hmmm, well, when I wanted our walls repainted, I accidentally left my sharpies within reach of my 2 year old… worked like a charm. not sure if that would work with carpet. Maybe ‘accidentally’ spill a bucket of bleach? ha ha!
