Hot Diggity Dogs

Seeing how it’s the last week of September and the first week of fall, I can officially announce that the dog days of summer are over!  Yeah, in my dreams.  It’s still all triple-freaking-digits up in here in Phoenix.  So while the dog-days are still upon a few of us, let’s embrace it and enjoy a few of these doggie-style makeovers.  (Ha ha, not like that, you perv!)

This tray went from underdog to top-dog with a bright yellow paint job and some playful pooch wrapping paper. (I don’t know where she got it, but I’m really digging it).  From Better After reader Roxanne.

Heather, a 5th grade teacher, had a bone to pick with her dog-tired desk. So she added a little four-legged fun along with an inspirational message to her students. She must be an awesome teacher to care so much about creating such a happy and welcoming environment for her students. Lucky dogs! MY 5th grade teacher, on the other hand, was a total female d-OK, I’ll stop with the dog puns now.
Check out her entire fabulous classroom makeover on her blog The Lovely Cupboard.

No Sarah, I only have foul smelling memories from 5th grade. I think it stems from the end of the year awards ceremony where EVERY SINGLE PERSON got an award and she totally forgot about me. THEN she tried to fool me into thinking that receiving a flat soccer ball she hastily retrieved from the PE closet would make up for it. NOPE.

I love this desk, more for the message than the “after”.

The sign on the desk is way cooler than the dogs. We need more teachers like that!

Really Lindsey? I thought Miss Brissinger was awesome in 5th grade. It was Mrs. Harper in 3rd grade who gave me the heebie-jeebies.
Regardless, cute makeover and a great message to the kids in that class.

The desk is so cute and I have to agree that the sign is pretty awesome!
