Totally Epical

Surely you have heard of the Epic Makeover that took place over on Mandi’s blog Vintage Revivals.  But then again, maybe you haven’t, if you are a little bit like me and took a major break from blog reading this summer because you were really busy and hot and also taking a nap.

So here’s the breakdown: Mandi had a contest to see who deserved a room makeover of epic proportions. After several rounds of voting, Jessica and her sad, sad bedroom won (nothing says romance like a workout calendar hanging over the marital bed), so Mandi personally came to her house and whipped said bedroom into all kinds of shape.  It’s pretty great. You can see more from Jessica on her blog My World Made by Hand.

It’s gorgeous, truly. The 2 different shades of green and the yellow throw me off, and I wonder where all their STUFF went (it has to go somewhere!) but it’s beautiful.

It’s really pretty. But, I’m confused. The room actually looks so much smaller. What’s up with that? Oh, and also, I totally don’t get the restroom/woman sign on the lampshade. Just odd.

GORGEOUS!!!!! I would never have thought of the green pillow, but I LOVE that detail!

Do you think quilts are way old fashioned? I am re-doing our bedroom and I love quilts (and we have a farmhouse), but I don’t want it to look like grandma’s house 😉 LOL

Hope you’re having a wonderful week,

Love the room with the exception of the green headboard/pillow. That just doesn’t work for me. I bet there is a restroom/man sign on the lamp on the other side. You know, his and hers.

Wow! What an amazing transformation. The new bedroom now totally looks like a grown up’s sanctuary versus the old, which kind of resembled that of a college kid who’d rather spend time doing other things than clean and organize…like partying.

So fresh and pretty! But you have to admit that just picking up the clothes and making the bed would have made an improvement…I should go do that to my room!:D

    Thanks for sharing! 🙂

i am also wondering about the lamp and the two very different shades of green. but i am VERY uncool, so i probably shouldn’t judge.

other than that, it is fantastic! looks very peaceful in there.
