Still Stylin’ in Silver

Hello! I am on vacation!  So you are reading this in the future, but I am writing this post in the past!  What I mean is … I’ve already written this post and pre-scheduled it, so you are reading it now! In the future past!  It makes my head spin!  But I wanted to clarify that just in case silver leaf has managed to totally go out of style in the last few days.  No?  Are we good?

Great.  Then please enjoy this sweet silver leaf dresser makeover from Hahn, who was inspired by Jenny’s dresser on Little Green Notebook.  Which as of today is almost a year and a half old.  So I think silver leaf is going to stick around.  Phew!

I cannot believe you are really in
San Antonio. There are a few flea markets you have to check out. First is Bussey’s which is awesome, then there is the one in Poteet. You may want to go to Ward’s Auction tonight because it’s they are open to the public this evening and it starts at 7. I would love to know if you are going to any of these places so I can say hi in person. I hope you enjoy your time here and try to stay cool. Let me know if you need a tour guide.

I recently moved to just outside of San Antonio, and while I haven’t had a chance to check out any of the big fleas in the immediate area, I have visited Fredericksburg and fell in LOVE with the Fredericksburg trade days. I believe they have it only once a month, and I don’t know how long you’re in town, but if you’re looking for a good day trip — its an adorable town with lots of neat junk to be found!

Oh, and if you’re looking for anyone local-ish to check out flea markets with — ring my bell, girl! 🙂

    Have fun in San Antonio!

I generally love the things you do, but that chest was gorgeous before. There are some pieces of furniture that should never be altered.

    Katherine,
I wouldn’t feel too bad the original chest: The chest had water damage on the front and the top, its top layer of paper was bubbling and peeling off.. You can sort of tell in the front on the before picture :)…

Took me two months to peel off the damaged glued on paper.
