Porsche of a Porch

Earmuffs on if you happen to live in a tiny apartment or some other type of cramped environment.  Seriously, get them on, because I don’t want you do die of jealousy when you hear that Anita had the tragic problem of a 600 sq ft PORCH she needed to decorate!  I declare!  That thing is enormous! You could go square-dancing out there!

Anita needed to fill the space, so she bought this set of furniture in a hurry, not really loving the black.  It didn’t flow with the peaceful farmy scenery.  But she knew she could eventually paint them, and she did, with white exterior house paint followed by a glaze of thinned Paris Gray Annie Sloan Chalk paint (although she doesn’t recommend that technique, too drippy).  The pillows and daybed cover were made with linen and vintage feedsacks, and the whole thing looks like porch paradise to me!

Check it out on her blog Cedar Hill Ranch.

Gasp! I love the before AND the after. I can understand how the black didn’t flow, but it still looked awesome.

So yeah…I LIVE in an 1100 sq foot house…some peeps got it so lucky! 🙂

Lindsey, you crack me up. And yes, I have heard that before Reenie and Holly; some people prefer the black and white. I liked the black and white; it just didn’t fit with the direction I wanted to go with the back porch. Thanks Lindsey for featuring our porch!!

when you schedule it down at the bottom, make sure you click save before you click post because that saves your settings of the post. that’s what always works for me at least.
one thing i really don’t like about the day bed as outdoor furniture…just think about all the spiders and rodents and other icky things that will take up residence under it. booo.

No joke – my first apartment was 600 sq feet. I had two kiddos in that place!

I’d rather live on that front porch though!

I LOVE the after. The before is cute, but it looks like a lot of other black and white furniture sets I’ve seen. Now it’s completely customized and personal! The exact way she wants it. It’s beautiful and serene.

The After is definitely best! I am still trying to stop hyper-ventilating at the size! Even if it didn’t have ANY furniture, you could roller skate on it. 🙂
