Senseless

I am having a slobbering, making-a-fool of myself, head-over-heels in lu-huve CRUSH on Gina’s kitchen. How did she make a cramped, dated little galley kitchen into something I want to caress with my cheek and whisper sweet-nothings to in the dark? Um… hypothetically speaking, of course. HA! Ha. Hehhh…

Check it out on her blog A Sense of Design, while I go and collect myself.

Love the new look, but am I the only one who is ever bothered by “after” pictures that are taken from a totally different angle?

Beautiful! But Monica, no you’re not. I’ve also noticed this…

I love the new look too, however, I agree with Monica 1000% about the angle of the after pictures!! It drives me crazy! Changing the angle or scope of the after picture just makes it really difficult to appreciate the full effect, much less believe it is the same room!

No problem adding other pictures from whatever angle or item, as long as there is at least one after photo taken at the exact same spot as the before picture!! I don’t understand why so many DIY-ers don’t get that.

Hi girls, thought I better explain the angle of the shots. The before photo was the only one I had from the real estate ad (it is a wonder I bought the house!!! LOL) and the after photo was taken from the other end of the room because I closed off a door and now it is impossible to get the right angle…there are some more images if you go to my post but it was difficult to fit in the whole kitchen. But I do understand what you mean!

I love the new kitchen and would love to hug the cabinets, lie on the floor, and kiss that clock!

Would it be possible to have more info on the wooden countertop? What you used, maintenance, etc? I love it and especially love your appliance cupboards. They would definitely make an appearance in my dream kitchen.

One of the more jaw-dropping kitchen before/afters I’ve seen. Gorgeous!

I’d like to defend the whole angles thing… sometimes, in your rush to start demolishing some ugly room, you forget to take all the proper “before” pictures. I was completely guilty of that in my kitchen, even though it wasn’t my first renovation and I should have known better. But I just wanted all that pink ugliness gone! 🙂

I think this is quite brilliant putting the stove at the end. I could so do this in my galley kitchen. When I redo it.
