Erica decided to rescue this cute little $13 vase from the clearance rack. The pattern and colors weren’t horribly offensive, but she had bigger, brighter and better things in mind. Things that involved a lighting kit and houndstooth! Isn’t it fantastic?
Speaking of houndstooth, I really want to try those Sally Hansen nail polish sticker thingies, have you seen the houndstooth ones? So cool! Anyone tried those yet, or have any idea what I’m talking about, despite my very descriptive description?
Anyway, check out more from Erica on her blog Swoon!

May 4, 2011 at 11:43 PMShe did a great job. Houndstooth always makes me go a little cross-eyed after a while though. If it were in my house, I’d have to avoid staring at it straight on else run the risk of seizures. :p

May 4, 2011 at 8:11 PMThe lamp is awesome! As for the nail polish stickers, both my 14 year old daughter and I have tried them. They work really well. I may be a little over the target age range that they were shooting for with this product, however. I looked a little “Jersey Shore” for my taste when wearing them. But they look great on my daughter and they are super easy to use.

May 4, 2011 at 8:42 PMThe “nail polish sticker things” are amazing && (for me at least) they have lasted longer than the box says they will!!

May 4, 2011 at 9:12 PMI’ve used the Sally Hanson nail thingies and I liked them BUT when your nails grow out just a bit, the sticker has just enough of a lift that it will catch on little things here and there. Any time I’d go to tuck my hair behind my ears or push it back, I’d get a strand stuck in there and it drove me crazy!

May 5, 2011 at 2:31 AMBeing the total BAMA girl that I am, I love the houndstooth. I even like the yellow lamp. But, it would be more stunning in crimson:-)
Don’t know about the nail thingies. I’ll ask my junior high students about them.

May 5, 2011 at 6:33 PMLITERALLY have the houndstooth Sally Hansen nail stickers waiting for me in my bathroom (since January)! I originally bought them for my NYE ensemble but ended up doing red instead. If you try them let me know and if I get around to them I’ll be sure to report back 🙂

August 31, 2011 at 4:38 AMI loved the vase before. I would have liked to see it as a lamp. Oh well. I’m a bit parcial to green.
