Chances are you or your mom or someone you know has this set of Basset furniture. I see them all the time on Craigslist. You can’t swing a dead cat around a thrift store without knocking into one. You also can’t swing a dead cat around a thrift store, period. You will probably get arrested.
Megan decided to give hers an old-world provincial feel with a paint, stain and glaze technique. I would love someone to come to my house and teach me how to do that. I still haven’t figured out how to make things look cool and old instead of dirty and weird. You can see more on her blog Never a Dull Day. Thanks Megan!

April 27, 2011 at 5:04 PMCan I just tell you how much I enjoy reading your blog because you make me laugh every day. I have 11 kids living in this house and that kind of laughter probably keeps me from tearing my hair out (or losing my marbles completely and attempting to swing a dead cat around a thrift store). Love the dresser re-do, but I love your quirky sense of humor more! 🙂 Thanks for the daily smiles.
Meg I am.....
