I’m a little sick of whining about how I can’t upholster, let alone reupholster. It would be nice to do something about it one of these days. Anyone in the Phoenix area want to take a upholstery class with me? Provided it is affordable and you are not a creepy creeper? I’m serious yo.
Or, if Shelley from Slipcovers by Shelley moves nearby, I would probably just use the money to pay her. You can tell she has an eye for detail, notice how the mountain on the sofa seat cushion extends up the back? That’s talent! Sofa can be seen HERE.

February 3, 2011 at 9:33 PMI am (still) reupholstering my couches. I never took a class, I just dug in and figured if I screwed up, they were cheap and ugly anyways. I took off piece by piece, taking pictures as I went, so that I would know how it went back together. Also there are tons of tutorials online. I’d say find a cheap chair or couch online or at a thrift store and dig in.

February 7, 2011 at 6:03 AMI’d love to take that free class at home fabrics! I live in Gilbert. I did upholster my couch twice, but I just turned the fabric right side down and pinned the seams. Not perfect, but it added another 6 years of life to the couch. I would love to learn some tricks. 🙂
