I think so many people do their kitchens white is because it always look crisp and clean (at least in the beginning) and it’s an easy choice. You can give away all your colorful accessories and go in a totally new direction without major work on the cabinets. Having said that, we’re painting our cabinet uppers white and the bottom cabinets a mid-tone gray-blue. It’s a 1986 kitchen that is functionally fine but just not my taste.
