Bon Bons

Here’s a kitchen that went white but retained warmth, a tricky trick indeed. Bonnie from Creative Decorating on a Budget painted just about every surface in this kitchen, including the countertops! A glaze over the cabinets gives the look more depth and the faux copper backsplash adds a little sparkle.

I am impressed with anyone that tackles a kitchen makeover like this, especially around the holidays. I guess fear of serving your relatives a Christmas dinner of microwaved nachos in your bedroom would give you extra incentive to get it done!

I was going along in Google Reader happily this morning when I came across this pretty kitchen. Then I realized, IT’S MINE!!! Thank you, Lindsey, for posting!! It was quite a job to complete in 10 days before Thanksgiving for $600!! I am honored to be acknowledged!!

Nice job – i think there’s nothing so cheerful, classic & pleasant to work in as a white cabinet kitchen. most wood turns dark over time & colors get old quickly. also, so easy to change the look of white with accessories & wall colors
