Laura got her hands on this dresser for free (NEVER happens to me, WHY!?) which makes up for the fact that it had mismatched plastic handles and was covered in stickers that required sanding after sanding.
She freehanded the branch and stenciled on the bird, then distressed it with whatever happened to be laying nearby, or at least that’s what it sounded like: steel wool, sandpaper and a screwdriver, plus a light coat of glaze. I think it turned out super cute! It will do great job at its current position: changing table for brand new baby!

November 17, 2010 at 1:53 AMI am going to have another baby just so I can justify copying that dresser. Oh wait, I’m a grandma and I think I already lost my creative powers.
