Pop Goes My Heart!

You know that phrase “butter face?” Guys use it to describe a girl who has a nice body … but then … there’s her face…? It’s horrible, true, but kind of describes this old hutch. There’s the lovely lower half, and then that clunky, junky upper half that I’m convinced came from a separate entity altogether, because they don’t jibe at all.

So Lisa simply removed the offending half and refinished the top, painting the rest white, and I’d say she’s a perfect 10 now! Check it out on her blog Popcorn Served Daily.

I’m sorry to say-they are from the same family. I have seen a similar hutch here in someone’s home…in all its frumpy glory. This is sooooooo much better.
(the clue lies in the curvature of the insets in the doors and the curving cuts on the top-yeah…what was THAT guy thinking)..

I always love your commentary. Great transformation here.
Also, loved the entry title “Pop Goes My Heart”… I might have to find time to watch “Music and Lyrics” this weekend. Love Hugh Grant as a washed up pop star.

I would never believe they came together if Diana hadn’t seen another one like it.
    Great make over.

I have never heard that “butter face” phrase, but it cracked me up! I just saw a woman like that the other day. A body I would die for, but the face.. Love this transformation.

Haha! My husband introduced me to the “butter face” title, he describes it as “everything’s great ‘butter’ (but her) face.” Love the redo, some people have such a great eye for that stuff!
