Jessica from Decor Adventures is lucky enough to have a foyer right inside her front door, and I admit, I’m a little jealous. If I had a foyer, I would greet my guests by dramatically sweeping my arm and saying, “Please step into my grand foy–YAAAY.”
She prettied up her space with a lot of thrifted finds and lightened up the brick. I think it looks very inviting and cozy!
And just in case you were craving another fireplace redo, well, here you have it. Tasha swapped out her wimpy little hole in the wall for a substantial “look at me ya’ll I am sexy!” fireplace by adding a mantel and some lovely slate and rock work. Gorgeous! See it on her blog DIYing to be Domestic. Thanks ladies!

October 7, 2010 at 10:24 PMWhen we moved into a lease house after hurricane Ike, I had to do something with the fireplace. It is shown in this blog. http://mmbcreations.wordpress.com/2010/08/31/living-room-update/
