Re Viewed Room

I love seeing a room transformed through staging, because it’s not a huge, expensive renovation. (not that I don’t love those) It’s amazing that just looking at a room through new eyes and rearranging items you probably already have, you can create an entirely new look. This room was done by JoAnne of Rave Re:view. (clever name for a staging business, huh?) Check out her blog for more!

What a pretty room re-do! So elegant and up to date.

Learning how to display and arrange items is really the key to good design. So often I buy great pieces but just don’t know how to display them. I really like what she did here.

That room looks suspiciously like 1987. Is the decor from the 80’s joining the neon splashed clothing and cauliflower bangs we all loved so well?

The re-do is a good one, but the cycling of styles is a little scary.

Wow! I love the room after. What a fun style, and a great remake with what looks like not much money too. Well done!

LOL @Betina I was about to comment the same thing. The lamp, the vase of sticks, and the floral painting are all screaming 80’s at me.

This room definitely has a retro vibe but it doesn’t scream 80’s. It has elements of the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s( the lamp, shag carpet and the sofa with it’s exposed wooden legs) but nothing in the decor suggests the peach and muted turquoisy/aqua big furnitire of the 80’s. Believe me,I was there! The little chair to the left is very today in its styling.Check out this website to see decor from varying decades, including the
    80’s.
