I love seeing a room transformed through staging, because it’s not a huge, expensive renovation. (not that I don’t love those) It’s amazing that just looking at a room through new eyes and rearranging items you probably already have, you can create an entirely new look. The re-do is a good one, but the cycling of styles is a little scary.

December 14, 2009 at 2:23 PMThis room definitely has a retro vibe but it doesn’t scream 80’s. It has elements of the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s( the lamp, shag carpet and the sofa with it’s exposed wooden legs) but nothing in the decor suggests the peach and muted turquoisy/aqua big furnitire of the 80’s. Believe me,I was there! The little chair to the left is very today in its styling.Check out this website to see decor from varying decades, including the
