Country Shelf

I don’t know about you, but I grew up in a little country town where stuff like this ‘before’ shelf was all the rage. Heart cut-outs. Geese on everything. Ruffles on everything. A lot of hunter green and burgundy. {shudder}

Well, those days are far behind us now, but that doesn’t mean we can’t rescue some of those country chic artifacts! AJ from Trash2Treasure cleverly uses appliques to camouflage those cut-outs and help welcome these forgotten items into modern society!

Her blog is FULL of fun stuff like this, I hope to feature her work again soon!

    I just stumbled across your blog from a comment you left on my friend Morgan’s site (Mrs. Priss), and I LOVE what you are doing here. Seriously, spray paint is one of my favorite things ever, as is thrift store shopping and the great finds that can be turned into something new and lovely. I have already gotten so much inspiration just from reading several of these posts!

    I will DEFINITELY be back, and I’m adding you to my link list RIGHT NOW. 🙂

    what a great idea to cover those ugly hearts! I have past up many shelves at the thrift store/yard sale because of those dang hearts! Seriously love it!
