Envision a Decision

If someone asked you to describe your personal style in three words or less, what would you say?  Actually, I think that is too hard of a question, because I just sat here for ten minutes trying to figure it out myself.  “Stuff I like.” There.  That’s my personal style.  
Because I equally love this rustic dresser makeover from Meg at Never a Dull Day …
… and this graphic dresser makeover from Sarah at Funcycled.  Which one is your favorite?  Or are you an indecisive decider like me?  Ain’t no shame in it.

PS: Have you visited the Better After Facebook page lately?  It just got a little bit of a facelift!  Ok, so all I did was add some new buttons.  But it literally took me three hours to figure it out, so stop by and give me a thumbs up, won’t you?  Bonus: today is Throwback Thursday!

Butter Off

Sure, Julia’s lamps wouldn’t win the Ugly Lamp Contest, but they weren’t going to win any beauty contests either.  They look like butter churners … very fancy butter churners.  Perfect for those formal butter churning occasions.  Or better yet, the perfect candidates for a little spray paintin’ and stripe gaining.  I just love the new look. Who knew there was such hipness to be had!

A-door-able

How many times have you been lounging on the floor, watching a movie or something, and thought to yourself, “Dang, I really wish I had a little chalkboard snack table made from an old cabinet door right now?” Probably never.  But once you check out this project from Larissa at The House on Harrison, I bet you will.  She kept the cost low by mainly using items she had on hand; final total: $8!

Laundry Envy

Sure, Karianne’s laundry room has a lot of things that my laundry room doesn’t have.  Like a big window overlooking a wooded meadow, for one.  A ruffly shower curtain hiding a functional shower.  Open shelving and fun accessories.  A washer and dryer that actually match.  But at least my laundry room is … um … upstairs.  So that’s a bonus.  I’ll try and console myself with that. Yeah.

10 In bathroom

I’ve Mellowed on Yellow

Remember oh, about a year ago?  When I was all, “Hmm, yellow?  I don’t know.  Not my favorite.”  Well, I’m singing a different tune.  Now I think yellow is spondorious. (That’s a word my grandpa made up that means better than great).  I’m sorry that I was late to the yellow party. I’m just slow at these things. I plan to hop on the coral bandwagon here in a year or three too. 
Anyhoo, here’s a super cute yellow bathroom makeover … well, it’s not quite a bathroom, more like a bathniche, for you to enjoy from Ashley at The Three of Us.
