Fit for a Queen

I figured that most little girls would swoon their hearts out at this beautiful bedroom makeover from Lynda.  The moulding!  The metallic stenciling! The beautifully ornate furniture straight out of a Disney movie!

However, I didn’t want to be presumptuous, so I decided to ask an expert for her opinion.  Get this: my four-year-old daughter looooooovvved the before!  What?!  Look again, dear child.  Did you fail to notice the frilly bedding? The floofy lamps? The CHANDELIER? Nope.  She was too dazzled by the hot pink walls. At least she’s easy to please.   I,  for one, would happily move into the after today.

See more from the super-talented Lynda, who I had the pleasure of meeting last week (Hi Lynda!) on her blog  Oh So Shabby.

PS: Thanks for all your kind and encouraging comments about the blog!  Some of you are wondering about the blog roll I used to have linked on the side.  I am happy to put it back, but I need help remembering all the blogs I had listed over there!  The old system has wiped them clean.  So if you have a favorite or two that you enjoyed visiting, please remind me of their names and I’ll get that figured out shortly.

Also!  Ugly lamp deadline is coming soon!  Get those submissions in by August 10! Send your ugly lamp photo to me at betterafter(at)live.com, subject line “Ugly Lamp.”

The after bedroom is gorgeous! I would move into, and pretend that I’m Gigi from the movie. “Move your bloomin’ arse.”

Love this room, Lynda!!! Did you switch to WP?!? Fabulous! (Ask Brooke, but I heard that putting your link list on a page and not homepage is better for SEO;)

Absolutely beautiful!! Do you ever offer advice to fellow bloggers? I recently completed a nursery project but I’m still not completely happy with it. Can’t figure out what’s missing. Love how yours turned out and love this blog so much!
