Did you know that the male peacock is the pretty one? The female peacock (or peahen), is all drab and boring. That’s not fair! I guess it has something to do with the male attracting a mate and the female not attracting attention to incubate her eggs safely, but still. Bummer for her. So I guess we can call this before nightstand from Dionne at The Turquoise Iris the female, and the after the male, because wow! Attractive!

Personally, I think the birds’ way of doing things is better. The peahens have males fawning all over them, and they don’t even have to put on makeup or do their hair. I wouldn’t mind looking a little drab with a handsome peacock on my arm.
