Bedknobs & Benchsticks

Bedknobs & Benchsticks

Eagle-eyed viewers might notice that this before headboard is ever so slightly different then the one Ashley at Distressed Boutique used for her headboard-to-bench makeover.  She forgot to take a before pic, it happens.  So, I’m not sure if her actual headboard came with those extra bedknobs on top and she chopped them off herself, or if it was already like that, but I dig it.  Makes it look much more benchier, yeah?

Hey, remember that movie Bedknobs and Broomsticks?  I verrrry faintly do.  Wasn’t it something like a cross between Mary Poppins and Murder, She Wrote?  I could be wrong …

I totally “stole” a head and foot board almost exactly like this off the curb as it waited for bulk trash pick-up not long ago! I’m going to paint it for my daughter’s bed.

I am in love! It would have killed me to cut up that bed. BUT! Wow! Totally worth it.

Angela Lansbury would kill to sit on this bench.

Bedknobs and Broomsticks is the second greatest live action movie with animated sequences. That also stars David Tomlinson. Anyway, it IS great.

I’m sure some one would love to have that bench. But I so wish i’d come across such a beautiful bed frame and use it in a bed.

We had ‘Bedknobs & Broomsticks’ on Beta…it was well loved and yes, somewhat like ‘Murder She Wrote’ meets ‘Mary Poppins.’ With extra cartoons.

Great makeover. I want to try a bed-to-bench…maybe after it stops snowing!
