Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper.

Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper.
How many fruitless hours have you spent clicking through design blog after design blog, day after day, finally screaming in frustration, “Where can I find a decent chicken coop makeover?!”  Well, problem solved.  Because here is one now.
This comes from Better After reader Laura who wanted chickens but didn’t want to buy a crazy expensive pre-made coop, or wait around for her husband to build one.  One day she discovered this giant doghouse at HomeGoods, and decided it was an answer to her prayers!  Especially since the manager gave her an additional $50 off just to get it out of his store.
Oooh, this kind of makes me want to get some chickens too.

This is cute but I hope those are the only chickens or that they get to get outside of it a little more. It’s seems pretty small. Better than factory farmed though!!

Thank you for making my coop famous! Don’t worry, these ladies are free ranging in our large yard. The run is not their only play space.

Cute cute cute with the chicken coop. When I was a kid, the chickens never had it that good! I dare say their home never had a lick of paint of any color! 🙂

But Lindsey your humor about “finding a decent chicken coop makeover” made me laugh out loud so much I thought I’d wake my napping hubby. Do you do standup comedy anywhere? No? You definitely outta consider it. 🙂

Oh My! I saw this coop — in Minneapolis..well, south of. I was so disappointed to see the sold sign, but happy to see it has a good home! (or is providing a good home!)

No Laura I don’t. But thanks for asking 🙂 I know how much time goes into making a blog great and I admire Lindsey so much on this one. I think I’ll just remain an avid blog reader and pinterest user for now 🙂
