Happy Labor Day! Or ‘Labour’ Day, if you are celebrating in a different country. Ha, I kid! There is no such thing. Ha! I kid again! There actually is, only it’s on May 1st. But let’s not quibble over facts. Let’s take a rest from our labors and enjoy this great hutch transformation from Suzy at Simply Vintageous.
I love the artichoke accessories and the “eat your veggies!” sign, which makes me want to eat artichokes, which are one of my very most favorite foods. Preferably fried. Mmmmm. Try them, you must.

September 3, 2012 at 3:51 PMAbsolutely GORGEOUS! And also, it overwhelms me to think of HOW big a project this was to do. But the after is so worth it!

September 4, 2012 at 3:50 AMOK! If this transformation doesn’t prompt those who are stuck on “it was my grandma’s/auntie’s – or it was a wedding gift – or it’s real wood!” to have a “do over” then I don’t know what will! WOW! This shows just how gorgeous you can make those old 70’s dark wood monsters 😉 LOVE IT!
Did you all read her own post saying it’s Annie Sloan Chalk Paint? Wow! Gotta get some of that one of these days. I’ve got a grand piano I’m thinking of painting with it..seriously!

September 5, 2012 at 2:55 AMThis is a great furniture re-do! I especially love the colours…looks like it took a lot of labour. White painted wood is one of my favourite looks! (Yep – Canadian!) 🙂

September 6, 2012 at 5:21 PMThis is an amazing “after”!!! Job well done! Makes me want to nab a free hutch off craigslist and turn it into a show stopper like this one!

December 1, 2012 at 10:12 AMWow! I see the “after” when ever I look at old funky things but this “before” pic had me saying “eeeew!” it’s big & bulky with chicken legs. But I must admit the “after” was a HUGE surprise. I absolutely believe white is a perfect color to bring new life to anything but I had no idea it could bring new life to this piece. Absolutely gorgeous! I’m very impressed 🙂
