I'm not one to judge a book by it's cover, but I would have assumed that this mauve-colored home probably belonged to a sweet little elderly couple who enjoyed quiet nights watching Wheel of Fortune and taking the Jazzy out for a spin around the block once in a while. Not the case! It actually belongs to Better After reader Jen, her husband, and their brand new baby. Since it was really showing its age, they decided on a dose of the home-exterior equivalent of botox: fresh paint, colorful doors and some much-needed landscaping. Now it's a knockout!

What a gorgeous transformation! I LOVE the red doors and white trim. I must say though, it always makes me a little sad to see brick painted over. This house is truly a knock out though.

I'm so glad it wasn't them on the Jazzy's. I've never seen road rage like that old guy on Jazzy who I passed on my bike. I'll never forget the glare under those bushy white eyebrows.
Paint goes a LONG way! The house looks amazing! :)
I have white brick on the front and side of my house, it is 50 years old and does nothing for the house. There isn't enough wood on the front to add color. I want to paint the brick but my husband doesn't. Might just have to do it one weekend when he goes hunting!
I love to see home exterior makeovers, especially simple (well, no big construction involved) ones like this. Now it looks fitting for a young family.
