Daltile: Degrossifying my Bathroom

Daltile: Degrossifying my Bathroom
Hey y’all!  I’m here to let you know about a fun little project I’ve been working on courtesy of The Home Depot.  They recently gave me the chance to try out some of their stylin’ tile, specifically, the Atmospheres Collection by Daltile, so I’ve been hard at work watching my husband retile our bathroom! Whew!
Actually, there was nothing to REtile, as it was carpeted.  Yes, I stepped out of the shower everyday onto matted, brown carpet. Grody McGrossertons.  And our house was built in 2005.  Who does that anymore?

Anyway, there will be more info to come in the next couple of weeks, including the big before and after reveal (oooh, exciting) and a $100 gift card giveaway to The Home Depot, so be sure to watch for that!

For now, please feel free to check out my project board on Pinterest or learn more about the stylish and affordable options available from Daltile.

The Home Depot partnered
with bloggers like me to participate in the Daltile program.  As part of the program, I received
from The Home
Depot in the form of a gift card to participate in this campaign promoting the
new Atmospheres Tile Collection by Daltile.
All opinions are 100% my own.

will be handled by a third party.

Can’t wait to see your bathroom transformation! I could never understand why someone would furnish carpet in a bathroom. I know there is carpet available that is resistant to mold and mildew but still, yuck!

In the house we bought, not only was the floor carpeted… they carpeted up and around the drop-in jet tub!!! Seriously – what were they thinking?? WERE they thinking?! Probably not considering the things we have found in remodeling…

I also have a fully carpeted house, bathroom and kitchen included. Can’t wait to see what you do to yours!

After thinking for a bit, I came up with the conclusion that the designers and contractors decided to carpet the bathroom because it is far more cost effective to buy and install carpet than it is to do tiles and other non-fluffy floor coverings.

Lucky lady! We have our original 1950’s bathroom with purple tiles apart from where they have fallen off, a leaky toilet, only 2 cold taps working currently but a damn good shower. Oh but we do have vinyl flooring so it could be worse! 😉

Can’t wait to see it!! Our house doesn’t have carpet in the bathrooms, but very crappy linoleum. I can’t wait for the opportunity to change ours out!
