Settee of Samm

 Oct 3, 2011

CONGRATS to Elizabeth from DIY Theory, she is the winner of the $50 to Cutting Edge Stencils!
And THANKS so much for all your sweet and lovely words about my bathroom!  It was so fun to read all the comments, (even my husband sat here and read through all of them, and was especially thrilled with the people who think he's cute!  Ha!  I agree.)

And finally ... here's a great makeover to start off a great week!  This old settee belonged to Samm's grandmother. It went on down the line until it ended up with Samm, whose mother then helped her recover it.  Pretty cool that three generations had a hand in this piece, and now it has enough life left to go three more generations!  Did you notice the great big buttons?  Love.

That is STUNNING!! If I had not JUST ordered fabric for my new curtains, I would be asking what fabric that is. LOVE IT!

The AFTER is absolutely gorgeous, such sexy legs to. Love the placement of the fabric pattern and the piping. And, of course, the buttons... :)
