Making the Grade

 Oct 4, 2011

Suesan inherited this gargantuan dresser from her in-laws, and while it made for great storage (you could fit all the clothes of an entire family in there!  Heck, you could probably fit an entire family in there!) it was a pretty beaten and worn.

She fixed that up quick with a fresh paint job and gradient-hued drawer fronts.  I love how the stencils let the original wood peek through.  The rope pulls really 'pull' it all together taking it from 'not at all cool' to 'nautical!'

See it on her blog, Frou-FruGal.

I like the paint...a lot...I'm not sure about the numbers, but I haven't yet jumped on the bandwagon in which stencils and shapes and words are splayed out over drawers. But look who's talking...I just joined Facebook yesterday for the first time. :p
