Under the Sink!

 Jul 25, 2011

Unless Deedee was planning on keeping a tiny pet mermaid in her bathroom, that old vanity had to go.  A tiny pet mermaid is the only explanation I have for those built-in seats inside the shell-shaped sink, nothing else makes sense.  Isn't the new countertop fabulicious?  It's just plain old lumber, distressed and stained!  And don't feel bad for the baby mermaid; she has a tiny new sailboat to float around in now.  Check out the whole story on Deedee's blog Clover House.

Ha ha, I once had sinks like that in all three of my bathrooms. My husband loved them...yeesh. Her "after" is awesome!

I have those sinks now. Despise them, but can't justify replacing them as they're not very old. Mine are devoid of blue swirls, at least.

I think those little seats are for bars of soap but I like your mini mermaid story better.

Under the sea, that's where that shelf shell sink should be!

NICE re-do, and no more tiny mermaids for you!
