Summer is kicking my trash. All that summertime "fun in the sun" and "kick back and relax" stuff? LIES! Summer is hard! My kids are whiny and bored all the time, it's too hot to even look outside, I haven't managed to finish a single task I've started for weeks now, and the whole thing is turning my brain into a puddle of melted Slushie.
Like this, for example: I forgot to include Andrea's fabulous desk redo in the post of fabulous desk redos of desks that were all similar to one another that I posted last week! It would have fit in so well! Did that make any sort of sense to you? No? I'm going to go stick my head in the freezer and take a nap now.

You're like the perfect funny. Clever, witty, smart assed, irreverant, smart, subtle, and sometimes not so subtle... just perfect... the post with the pile of cats makes me laugh inside whenever i think about it... now that's funny...
Remember that commercial where the parent is shopping for school supplies with the kids, and singing "it's the most wonderful time, of the year" because the kids are going back to school... that's pretty much how i felt...

Great re-do, Did you use chalk paint? I'm so impressed with the look it's like a new england pottery barn house on the river kind of look! Love it

Is it possible to mention what kind of paint was used on refurb of desks, tables, etc.? Would love to start doing more of these things, thanks to your blog, but need more info on the supplies (not extensive) to combine with the inspiration!
Hey guys! Lindsey, thanks so much for featuring my desk! Also, I used regular latex paint from Sherwin Williams. I bought 2 $5 samples and barely made a dent in either! They are huge samples, not like the itty bitty ones at HD or Lowes! Hope this helps.
That chalk paint is too rich for my blood! :)
