St. Craig

St. Craig

Don’t you love when you are searching on Craigslist and suddenly you just happen to find the very item you’ve been looking for your whole life?  Do you?  Because I have no idea what’s that like.  All I ever see on my local craigslist are overpriced mattresses “STILL IN PLASTIK!”

Well, Ronda found this old cane bench, which just happened to fit perfectly around the dining room table she just happened to be redoing, along with the matching set of chairs that just happened to have cane-backs too.  Ronda just might be the patron saint of Craigslist. See it on her blog Edward’s Lane.

this happened to me today! i bought an antique dining set with 6 chairs & 2 leafs. It was $175 cheaper than a basically identical one I have inquired about and they lived 5 min away!! can’t wait to send in after pics!

No lie. I can never find anything on Craigslist. Could be because I live in Atlanta, but all of the postings are Ghet-to-the-O. I mean all I really want to find is a nice fridge or a cute dog. Why is this too much to ask of a 5,700,000 person population?! It’s wrong, wrong & ridiculous.

I wish you well in your future craigslist pursuits, though. Maybe you’ll stumble upon something fabulous.

I understand the craigslist stuff too! I live in Wisconsin (so yea, not expecting anything too fantastic- and if I do- it’s gone already!), but I usually end up seeing a lot of “labtops” or my personal favorite “Ottermans”. Seriously. It’s craziness!

LOOOOOVE my Craigslist! I have furnished half of my house off of there (and sold most of my baby stuff) That set looks amazing all together.

This is more of a question… not a comment. I found a really nice dresser for my daughter, but it comes from a house of heavy smokers.

I have heard that the smoke smell is hard to impossible to get out of furniture, is that true? If so, any tips on how to get it out?

Lindsey – SO FUNNY! You literally made me LOL on this one! Yes, the set makeover is beautiful and perfectly matched. I LOVE St. Craig – I should get a medal and wear it around my neck! Just got a round table and then a few weeks later 4 Bombay company chairs – suh-weet. 🙂 Hoping to send you the pics in a few more weeks. So excited! Enjoy your holiday weekend everyone! 🙂
