Hands Down Adorable

 Jul 11, 2011

Kelli got her hands on this second-hand dresser and planned to put it in her little girl's room, just as soon as she managed to get the cigarette stench out of it.  Once that was accomplished, it was full steam ahead into Cute Central, with pink racing stripes and girly knobs.

And how perfect that her daughter's name is Autumn?  Because that just happens to also be a season that comes complete with tons of seasonal decor that you can find half price at Hobby Lobby after said season is over, and you can repaint that too!

My favorite part: you can barely see it here, so click on over to her blog to have a closer look, but Autumn's tiny pink hand-print is on the side of the dresser, bottom left corner.  Ack, the sweetness is too much!

I loved the dresser's 'before' and anticipated the 'after' and my anticipation was extra satisfied. The sweet girlishness of the after is so sweet and gentle. And, yes, I also love the handprint. What a special memento!

But Linsey; 'girly knobs'? You HAD to have planted that in there just as a dare! Love it! And I think that Kelli has furniture talent! I hope that Autumn (beautiful, beautiful name!) will be able to someday have this in her own home for her own daughter. It's destined to become an heirloom piece.

Thanks to you both for sharing!

Oh my goodness, this looks absolutely adorable! Thankfully, that cigarette stench was rid of, otherwise, this would have been a shame if this cute little thing wouldn't have been made!
